London Esports took a trip down to Wanyoo, Asia’s largest gaming café chain, for the opening of their new café in London.
The café is the largest of its kind in the UK and serves a mixture of traditional Chinese drinks, every bodies’ favourite colas and a selection of delicious cakes, however, Wanyoo goes one step further. They provide each computer with a service button. Need a drink? The unique service button calls staff who aim to get to you within 40 seconds.
The café is a whopping 5330 sq ft. with the intention to “develop a gaming environment and social platform for the entire community; one that would allow people to have fun, relax, interact and socialise.” UK director, Zhaorong Chen thought about all avenues of gaming; the café comprises of a seated mobile gaming zone with a big screen, a fully equipped esports arena, private booths for duos and a lounge style area.
Want to play your favourite games? Wanyoo allows you to play anything from your PS4 to PCs with over 50 games pre-installed. No fear if they haven’t got the game you’re after, Wanyoo don’t like saving when it comes to their broadband bill. The café packs 1 Gbps internet access, downloading the latest titles within seconds.
But why London? In an interview with London Esports and Wanyoo UK, Mr. Chen said that “London is the head of Europe, with many oversea students and people coming to work and to study, we wanted to find a place like home, for all of the players.”
Mr. Chen also mentioned that Wanyoo will not stop at London. With his five year plan aiming to open two more shops next year in Coventry and Manchester, Wanyoo also looks to open more within London.
If you’re interested in visiting with your friends, head on over today. You can find their café at Charing Cross Road, London.
