This time last week, London Esport’s fans were shocked with a complete roster change after London’s former CS:GO team were picked up by Fierce Esports. Since then London’s acquired their newest roster from DizLown, a French organisation also participating in the ESL UK Premiership. The team includes ex-London player L1nk who left back in December.
In their debut game this Monday, the new roster turned heads when they won an impressive 16-10 over Team Endpoint. The win meant that London would carry on through to the ESL Spring Premiership qualifiers for a chance to win the trophy.
London’s next game, vs Fierce Esports, is that of a special one. This is the first time London’s new roster will come face to face with their predecessors. The winner of this momentous game will also see themselves go through to the LAN finals.
We asked new Team Captain Adam ‘Adam9130’ Ahmed how the team have been preparing for Monday’s game, “we’re really focusing on the veto. I think it’s important we make sure we get it right as they have a similar map pool to us.
“we are just treating Monday’s game just like any other. Sure, it’s more of an important match but we need to just focus on what we are good at and stick with it.”
I’m excited to see the new team match up against our old roster. It will be great to advance to the finals. The story line is too good to believeDirector, Alfie Wright
How confident are the team in entering Monday’s game?
“[The team] is feeling confident going into it. We have already beaten some teams that you would consider to be higher tier this season in ESEA advanced.” Adam says.
You can catch this epic match-up over at ESL’s CS:GO twitch beginning at 9.00 pm GMT.
