London Esports is extremely excited to announce that Alex Harris will be joining London Esports as its Head of Marketing.

Alex joins London Esports having helped build one of the largest British esports franchises, Excel Esports, taking the organisation from a pair of bedrooms to a 30-person operation in Twickenham Rugby Stadium. More recently, Alex has worked freelance with a number of brands from across the entertainment industry, including Native Instruments, WFH League and KFC Gaming. Alex is extremely excited to not only be joining the organisation, but also the ownership team at LDN and looks forward to a busy end of 2020 ahead of the new League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege seasons in the UK.

Asked about the exciting new opportunity, Alex Harris had the following to say:

“I’ve always been a Londoner. I’ve lived here my whole life. I cannot wait to get my teeth stuck in and build something of my own with Alfie. There are so many huge leaps that we’re preparing to take as an organisation and I just can’t wait to bring something new to the table with London – things that we haven’t seen from any other esports organisation. This really is just the beginning.”

Following a successful 2019 in Counter Strike: Global Offensive, London Esports has built solid foundations for new teams in Rainbow Six Siege and League of Legends, with support from the developers of both games. The focus of the 2020 Winter off-season for the organisation has been that of building on learnings in these new titles, so that London Esports can compete at the top level domestically and within Europe. The brand is poised to enter a new phase of its development and the London Esports community has much to be excited for in late 2020 and early 2021.

Asked to comment on the new addition to the organisation, Alfie Wright, CEO of London Esports had the following to say:

“I’m extremely excited to welcome Alex to the team. We have a lot planned over the upcoming months and Alex will be vital in a lot of our successes. I believe this shows our intent of growing as an organisation and with Alex’s wealth of experience we are definitely going in the right direction!”
